Postcard to Miss Hall from Walton-on-Naze
A revisit to this post card reveals that 8 Charlotte Street in Brighton is a hotel. On the upper floor bay window Est. 1814 is boldly written. It is reasonable to presume that Miss Hall was a visitor and Upper St James Street is just yards from the hotel at the northern end of Charlotte Street.
1st July 1903 was a Wednesday, it was the 1st day of the 1st Tour de France.
