An intriguing message, "2nd signal, alls well" to Alice Langford. Another card sent to Marchant & Co in Fleet Street, Torquay. Alice's mother was a Marchant before she married Emanuel Langford. Alice married Archibald Williams soon after this card was sent, was the message to do with the preparations?

Where the picture on this card is of can only be guessed at as there are several Bucklands in Devon and many more across the country.

I wonder if Lily confused the address as the Goodridge Butchers shop in Richmond Street was at No.6, the Postman must have got it to the correct place though!
