A post card sent to Keith Charles when he at the Convent in Southampton. The card that had been produced by a publisher in Los Angeles appears to have been posted in the UK, but the stamp has been removed. What remains of the postmark suggests that the card was posted in 1906.

The sender his Auntie Rose was pleased to hear that he enjoyed himself at Kells. Did Keith know the Barnewall children and how did this card get into John's post card collection?

This card from one of John's childhood friends gives no indications of who he was other than his name or where he lived. A pleasant looking house with leaded windows and four chimneys.

8, Charlotte Street is a hotel that boldly proclaims to have been "Est. 1814", its sign painted on to the from wall.  Miss Scholfield presumably was a guest in October 1903.

A postcard to Mrs Povey postmarked New Barnet

The handwriting of the sender has the look of an elderly person. As it has a Newbury postmark it was probable from a member of the Povey family who lived in the village of Chieveley in Berkshire.
