Street Scene, Jeypore
A card from Charley Tidy to his aunt, Emma Goodridge. He let her know the price of a lb. of rump steak. With an unreadable post mark the only 'clue' to where Charley was when he wrote the card is the M next to the date, 9th January 1908. One of the places that the Royal Garrison Artillery was based in India was Multan in the Punjab..

Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament, London
How this card arrived in John's collection is a mystery. It was sent to "Alan" who may have been a pupil at The Convent in Highgate Road, London in 1906. What happened to the card after it was delivered to the Convent is not clear and without the original postage stamp it is not known where W.S. sent it from. What is known is that it somehow got from London to Brighton and into John's collect.

E. Weller, Hawksbourne
A post card to John Goodridge senior from his sister in law Mary, Ted, Tedy and Willie. John's brother, the farmer at Hornbrook Farm in Horsham was christened William so he would have been the Willie. The 1911 Census reveals that William and Mary had any children so Ted and Tedy remain a mystery. The 1881 Census records that Mary and her husband were living at Hawksbourne Farm at that time. William employes 2 labourers and a boy on the 100 acre farm.
