Dear Uncle? As John was aged 13 in September 1903 and his sister, Edith did not have children I think that this card was sent to his Father, also named John. There is no senders name, but the card is postmarked Sutton Courtney. The style of handwriting on some of these cards indicates this one was sent by Fred.
As he refers to Mr. J. Goodridge as his Uncle a possible avenue of research to discover the connect would be through John's first wife, Sarah Anne Hylden and her family.
September 22nd 1903 Tuesday. Italo Marchiony of New York applied for a patent for a machine that made ice cream cups on that day.
